The pictures below tell a thousand words

In view of the alarming escalation of crime rates as extensively reported over the media lately, coupled with several incidents of snatch theft cases happened just outside our gated and guarded administrative zone. The RA felt that we need to extend our helping hand or cooperation with the police department to put our regional crime under controlled.
Among the measures include forming a gated and guarded community scheme with 24 hours security guards patrolling and stationed guards at the entrance gate, introducing card access passage system with online CCTV surveillance devices.
Furthering to that, the RA also initiated a signature campaign for the petition in order to inculcate the culture of awareness among all residents while getting them to be involved or be part of our team effort to prevent or fight against crime in our neighbourhood. In other words fighting against crime is not just the job of the police, or the RA, or the chairman but every single security conscious resident of a civil society particulary Taman Putra Prima 8A.
This morning we had handed over the residents petition to the OCPD of IPD Sepang Supt Imran Abd Rahman in Salak Tinggi. Along with the Chairman was the Secretary of the Gabungan Persatuan Penduduk Taman Putra Prima Mr Terence Choong. During the session, Chairman Kong briefed the OCPD about the current security status of Taman Putra Prima and Taman Mas, and Supt Amran agreed that a successful G&G community scheme will lessen very much of the police workload with perimeter fencing, and hiring of private security firm to check on all motorists and visitors entering into our compound. The OCPD also pleased with our proactive initiatives and encouraged all resident associations likewise to work closely and cooperate with the police to complement the battle against crime for the wellbeing, safety and security of the people.
The RA of Taman Putra Prima 8A has launched a signature drive campaign to petition to the police department of PDRM Daerah Sepang to curb the rising crime rate in Taman Putra Prima particularly on the snatch theft issue, where numerous incidents happened in Taman Putra Prima and Taman Mas were reported recently. Among the victims were the wife of the Gabungan President and the wife of 8A security guard. (please read this blog earlier posts for detail)
Concurrently, the petition also call to the local authority and the department of environment to stringent the enforcement in order to stop the garbage dumping and open burning at nearby Taman Mas garbage dumping ground. The pungent smoke emission and decaying rubbish foul smell is indeed hazardous and disturbing to the health and quality of living to our residents.
Reports & complaints had been made to the authority and PDRM by the Chairman, but problems still persist, so we hope the signature drive petition could reflect the ardent aspiration of the residents in resolving the matters by the authority concerned.
We appeal to all PP8A RA committee, zone leaders and residents to offer your helping hand while our petition paper is presented before you.

(2/8/2013 Putra Prima reporting)
The wife of our security guard Ino was another victim of snatch theft, the incident happened around 9:00pm last night while walking alone towards our guard house to bring food to her husband on duty for open fasting (buka puasa).
A motorcyclist came towards her and made a U turn from behind snatched her bag and flee away. She fell with slight injury and her bag was snatched away by the thief. A full month end salary of RM900.00 meant for Hari Raya celebration to our poor guard family was gone with the thief.
All pedestrian especially lady with shoulder carry purse or handbag please beware of any motorcycle by pass you. This is the most likely scenario for the quick run away snatch theft.
My wife was also a victim of snatch theft a few months ago right in front of my factory in Taman Mas….the next target could be any one of your wife, mother or daughter. So please help to spread the news to all, and we are going to launch a petition campaign to fight against crime in our neighbourhood this week, and we will forward the petition to the relevant authority, so don’t stay off before your love one become the next victim.
The battle against crime is not just the chairman or the RA alone, so please join us in the campaign.
