The western riverside of our taman is very prone to intruders from the neighbouring construction site and squatter area. There were several incidents of housebreaking were reported lately. Thus the RA had decided to replace the previous 5 feet high chain link fence to a 7 feet high welded BRC Fencing Mesh Panel complete with anti climb barded wire.
About 180m of the western stretch had been upgraded and replaced to this more secured and rigid fencing in order to prevent intruders easy access into our taman.

Quite shock to hear that there were several house breaking case had happened. Can you share more regarding the house breaking incident?
To improve security, I think there is a lot of improvement to be done of our security gate. Everyone can enter our phase by just waving hand to the security guard. No matter how good your fencing but without a proper security system, house breaking incident still might happened.

Can we have an estimated cost of the upgrade for the rest of the taman.
The cost of the upgraded fencing is about RM140/m, to replace the front and eastern side of the existing fencing is estimated around RM80,000.00. If the cost were to share among all 197 units, Each house has to contribute RM400.
I support this initiative of one time RM400 to upgrade the fencing. Besides strengthening the security, our taman also look nicer.
