   We are lucky to have an active committee especially our chairman who has effortlessly taking care of our taman and get whatever benefit we are entitled to.

   Only 6% of RAs in Selangor apply for RM10,000 allocation

   ONLY 95 out of the 1,600 registered Residents Associa-tions (RA) in Selangor have applied for the RM10,000 grant approved under the 2013 Budget to improve security in their neighbourhoods.

   Selangor Registrar of Societies director Noraffendy Abd Khalid said a total of RM8mil have been allocated for Selangor but many of the RAs are not even aware that they can apply for it.

   The grant was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak with the objective of creating safe and harmonious neighbourhoods in the country.
