Social Ethic

This dog is more ethical than its master

The dog can learn better than its master

For all the pet lover, we need your coordination to upkeep the environment cleanliness and appearance. Please concern about the public as you are not living alone but in a community. Recently we have the following complains from some of the residents:

“My neighbor and I always notice a few people bring their dog for jalan jalan near the playground area. My concern is they let the dog to freely pass motion along the way. What makes me uneasy ? Nothing else, but social concern!”

“… myself and my wife have experience the same thing happens in front of my house (my trees seem got free natural fertilizer).”

“I hope the dog lover (even not) should learn the ethic from Japan, they will bring along the plastic bag and clam while walking with the dog.”

“For the past few days I have been watching a resident from Jln PP 2/8 bringing his dog walking near the playground and It passed motion right in front of my house and few other houses.”

“These kind of people has no conscience. What they don’t realise is that if I bring a dog to their doorstep and s**t in front , will they feel happy???”

“In fact, it happens to me as well. The dog just shit onto my flower bed. I don’t understand why these people are so selfish, they don’t let their dog passing motion at their house but bring it to people’s house.”

  1. Recently, the RA has received a complain from a resident about dog pooping in front of his house & he feels that the RA should take action on it. When he is asked to complain to MP Sepang, he feels the RA should complain to MP Sepang on his behalf. This is not the 1st time the RA has been asked to handle similar cases including stray dogs, snakes, etc.

The RA would like to remind all residents of TPP8A that the RA is setup to engage security guards to maintain a safe and secured environment by keeping thieves/robbers away, including maintaining the fence & guard house. The RA is not a complain centre where you can file complains about pets, stray dogs, snakes, quarrel between neighbours, neighbours making excessive noise during late night, etc.

The RA’s committee members are all volunteers who are not paid a single cent for carrying out the RA’s works nor pay a single cent less towards the maintenance fee. Each and everyone of them is just like any other residents who has their own jobs to do to earn a living and taking care of their family. Time, and sometime money out from their own pocket, spent by them on the RA’s works is out of willingness to ensure the continuance of maintaining a safe and secured environment.

The best ways of dealing with such matters is for the residents to take initiative to lodge a complain with the relevant authorities and forward a copy of the complain to the RA. The RA will follow up the complain with the authorities if the opportunity arises. It is not that the RA don’t take note of such complains but the way some of the residents’ attitude used when talking & assuming the RA should handle ‘A to Z’ matters. For eg. our chairman is actively talking to MP Sepang on the grass cutting coverage, not just within the compound of our taman, but area outside of the fence as well in order to protect the fence from deteriorating from the grass climbing over it.

A lot of things have been done by the RA, especially our chairman, who took personal time off to engage the authorities but the good deeds go unnoticed. So, the RA pleas to all the residents to be more co-operative & initiative in dealing with some of the minor matters/complains.

  2. Recently, more and more residents are bringing in more dogs for security or for companion reasons. No doubt it is good to have a dog to look after your house but do be more considerate towards your neighbours by keeping the dogs and surrounding area clean so that there will be no complain on dog feces or dog hair from your neighbours.

In PJ, to keep a dog in one particular house, you need to get consent from neighbours and obtain dog license from MBPJ, not too sure about MP Sepang. Please take note and ensure you don’t cause inconvenience or anger to your neighbours. You won’t like it when MP Sepang came and issue you a summon or take your pets away.

  3. Ha Ha, that is a good one ‘silent mode’ but I am not sure anyone can do that. It is good to have dogs but be more considerate towards your neighbours by picking up the ‘remain’ after doing the ‘daily business’. What you don’t want to be seen in your house also mean other people don’t want ‘it’ to be seen in front of their houses.

  4. guys, please take care of your pets. you don’t want them to mess around with other folks ‘pet flowers’ that they spend money buying and planting. and please make sure your dogs go to ‘silent mode’ after 5pm.
