All PP8A Guard-house Licenses & Permit Have Been Renewed

Police investigation on fence break in incident

The renewal is necessarily to ensure that our G&G scheme is fully legalized and in continuity for the perpetual peace and security of our community. However there are still some people who are trying hard to destroy our perimeter fencing and undermine our security establishment.

According to Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) public relations officer Zainun Zakaria, only 18 residents associations (RAs) of the 181 or less than 10% have applied to erect guard booths.

“It’s estimated that only 15 out of 146 gated communities in Klang comply with current state laws to regulate them. The majority have been set up illegally.” said MPK councillor Lim Lip Suan.

“If the structures are built without permission from the local government, they are considered illegal and can be asked to remove.” Teng Chang Khim state executive councillor in charge of local governments.

8A Residents Petition To IPD Sepang For A Safer Living Environment.

In view of the alarming escalation of crime rates as extensively reported over the media lately, coupled with several incidents of snatch theft cases happened just outside our gated and guarded administrative zone. The RA felt that we need to extend our helping hand or cooperation with the police department to put our regional crime under controlled.

Among the measures include forming a gated and guarded community scheme with 24 hours  security guards patrolling and stationed guards at the entrance gate, introducing card access passage system with online CCTV surveillance devices.

Furthering to that, the RA also initiated a signature campaign for the petition in order to inculcate the culture of awareness among all residents while getting them to be involved or be part of our team effort to prevent or fight against crime in our neighbourhood. In other words fighting against crime is not just the job of the police, or the RA, or the chairman but every single security conscious resident of a civil society particulary Taman Putra Prima 8A.

Gabungan Secretary Terence, Gabungan President Kong and OCPD Supt Imran

Gabungan President, Mr Kong, OCPD Supt Imran and Gabungan Secretary Mr Terence Choong

This morning we had handed over the residents petition to the OCPD of IPD Sepang Supt Imran Abd Rahman in Salak Tinggi.  Along with the Chairman was the Secretary of the Gabungan Persatuan Penduduk Taman Putra Prima Mr Terence Choong. During the session, Chairman Kong briefed the OCPD about the current security status of Taman Putra Prima and Taman Mas, and Supt Amran agreed that a successful G&G community  scheme will lessen very much of the police workload with perimeter fencing, and hiring of private security firm to check on all motorists and visitors entering into our compound. The OCPD also pleased with our proactive initiatives and encouraged all resident associations likewise to work closely and cooperate with the police to complement the battle against crime for the wellbeing, safety and security of the people.
