MPSJ targets heavy vehicles parked in housing areas

OWNERS of heavy vehicles who parked in residential areas have been issued with summonses in a joint operation by Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) and Land Transport Commission (SPAD).

Over 20 summonses were issued by eight enforcement officers from SPAD and 20 from MPSJ who checked on such illegal parking in Subang Mas and Pinggiran USJ following public complaints.

SPAD issued summonses under the Land Public Transport Act 2010 while MPSJ issued summonses to those guilty of parking a vehicle over two tonnes in a residential area without a written approval from the council under the MPSJ Park Bylaw 7(1) 2005.

I appreciate your reply on regards to this matter and I shall make a legal complaint to the municipality. It would be great if this can be brought up during the committee meetings to create awareness amongst our residents.

I remembered those lorries had received summons from the majlis before, nevertheless you can always report to majlis again……

The RA encourages the concerned residents to report to the majlis directly, if the lorry owners refuse to cooperate after being told…..

What is the committee members doing pertaining lorries being parked in front of our residential areas ? This should not happen in a housing estate and there should be designated area for them to park. Not in front of houses.
